Transportation officials announced that as part of the Maryland Transportation Authority's I-95 Express Toll Lanes Project, all lanes of Interstate 95 will be shut down for overnight work in the White Marsh area at some points in the next week.
I-95 north and southbound lanes will be closed in the area of the MD Route 43 interchange, according to the State Highway Administration.
Traffic will be detoured to Exit 67 (eastbound White Marsh Boulevard), to eastbound MD Route 7 (Philadelphia Road), to westbound White Marsh Boulevard back to I-95.
The schedule is as follows:
- Southbound closures—11 p.m. Saturday to 7 a.m. Sunday
- Southbound closures—11 p.m. Monday to 5 a.m. Tuesday
- Northbound closures—11 p.m. Wednesday to 5 a.m. Thursday
What's happening while you're driving around the construction zone? According to the State Highway Administration, crews will be installing steel structures as part of the reconstruction of the I-95/Route 43 interchange.
