Tractor-Trailer Crashes On I-95 South Near White Marsh

There were backups of 3.5 miles on Interstate 95 south Sunday morning due to a tractor-trailer crash, according to officials.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Police said a tractor-trailer crashed on Interstate 95 near White Marsh Sunday morning, police said. The crash happened on I-95 south before the exit for MD 43 and caused delays in the area for several hours.

The crash occurred around 8:36 a.m., state transportation officials reported, with backups continuing until mid afternoon.

The right lane on I-95 south before the exit for MD 43/White Marsh Boulevard remained blocked from the crash until 3:35 p.m., the Maryland Transportation Authority reported.

Nobody was injured in the collision, according to the White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company, which responded to the incident. Leaking diesel fuel prompted an additional response by the Maryland Department of the Environment, officials said.
