Buy Some Bull to Help Police Councils

A September fundraiser, the annual Bull & Oyster Roast, benefits the Baltimore County Police & Community Relations Councils Inc.

Tickets are on sale for the Baltimore County Police & Community Relations Councils Inc. Bull & Oyster Roast on Sept. 22 in Parkville.

The annual event offers a night of karaoke, food, games and dancing, all to benefit the Baltimore County Police & Community Relations Councils Inc., including the Pikesville PCRC and other local councils.

The Pikesville PCRC—a group of Pikesville residents and officers from the Pikesville precinct—wants to sell at least 20 more tickets, according to Jerry D'Antoni, president of the Pikesville and county groups.

"Get a group of people to come with you, I'm sure everyone will have a good time," he said in an email to the Pikesville PCRC.

There will be door prizes, a raffle, silent auction, prize wheels and music by Pro-Show Karaoke & Friends, according to the event flyer.

Food will be provided by the Parkville American Legion Post 183.

The menu includes: pit beef and ham, oysters on the half shell and fried padded oysters, Maryland crab soup, sausage and peppers, mashed potatoes with gravy, greens, sliced ham and Swiss cheese, potato salad, cole slaw, dessert, beer and more.

For tickets, contact D'Antoni at j.dantoni@verizon.net.

All proceeds benefit the Baltimore County Police & Community Relations Councils Inc.

The event is set for 7 p.m. Sept. 22 at the American Legion, 2301 Putty Hill Ave., Parkville, and continues through midnight, the flyer states.

Tickets are $35 each.

PCRCs are community groups that meet with police officers from the local county precinct.

During meetings, residents can discuss safety and crime issues with police. The group raises money to help support the local precinct and its activities.

For example, the Pikesville PCRC holds an annual , assists officers with visits to precinct communities, and helps fund the precinct's holiday project.
