Jewish Community Services to Dedicate New Office

The JCS has moved its office to the Rosenbloom Owings Mills Jewish Community Center in Owings Mills, and will dedicate it on Tuesday evening.

Jewish Community Services to Dedicate New Office

Jewish Community Services will dedicate its new Baltimore County office during its annual meeting at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Rosenbloom Owings Mills Jewish Community Center.

The new, larger JCS office opened April 30, so now JCS services are available in a much larger space. JCS still maintains an office at .

From the Owings Mills location, clients can access JCS services. And if they are members of the Jewish Community Center, can use those services as well.

JCS services include counseling for adults, children and families, career services, assistance for seniors and caregivers, and more, according to a news release from JCS.

Many of JCS' clients are from Pikesville and Upper Park Heights in Baltimore, and from communities northward, along the Reisterstown Road corridor, a JCS official has said.

Funding for constructing the new office comes from the State of Maryland, The Associated: Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore, and private donors, it states.

Elected officials have been invited to attend.

Following is the schedule for Tuesday, according to the release:

5 p.m.: Annual meeting at the Gordon Center for the Performing Arts, 3506 Gwynnbrook Ave., Owings Mills.

The Dedication at Jewish Community Services’ office, next door at the Jewish Community Center, 3506 Gwynnbrook Ave.

The annual meeting will include the presentation of an Employer Partnership Award to We Treat Feet.

JCS scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors, and a ribbon cutting and mezuzah hanging will also take place.

Tours of the new offices will be offered, as well as light refreshments, the release states.

Correction: The original version of this article failed to mention that clients of JCS must be members of the JCC to use JCC facilities. And the JCS office at 5750 Park Heights Avenue is still operating. The JCS prefers to only state the time the annual meeting begins, not another time that their press release provided. We regret the error.
