Mari Luna Latin Grille is being repaired after a truck crashed through its storefront Monday morning.

There's a temporary wall now where the front door and windows used to be, said Manager Salvador Khadra.

And, while the Pikesville restaurant will open again, it's still not clear when that will be, he said.

"We're not 100 percent sure when," he said Tuesday, noting that the plan is to put a temporary barrier around the entrance area where the commercial dump truck crashed through, and then open for business.

Under that plan, the bar area would remain open.

On Monday, the Baltimore County building inspector deemed the restaurant  structurally unsound. An orange sign on the front of the business makes that clear.

Turns out, when the truck crashed through, it also crashed through a supporting wall on the side of the building as well, Khadra said. Also, with a winter storm forecast tomorrow, it's not certain when work will begin.

Baltimore County police have said that no one was injured during the crash.

Khadra said Tuesday that no one was inside the restaurant at the time—at about 9 a.m. Monday—because the restaurant, that opens for lunch, was closed.

Usually the restaurant is open seven days a week, he said.

Inside the restaurant there are still signs of the crash. The block wall to the left of the entrance is demolished. Fresh-cut, wooden, support beams hold up the ceiling.

And there's dust throughout the restaurant, including fine dust on each table.

"We'll have to hire someone to clean," Khadra said.

Another sign posted at the back asks patrons to help keep business going, by going to Mari Luna Mexican Grill, located just south of the damaged restaurant, at 102 Reisterstown Road.
