Finally, a winner of the historic Mega Millions jackpot has come forward and their ticket has been verified, according to a WBAL TV report.

That winner will remain anonymous, the report states.

The Maryland Lottery will hold a news conference at 8 a.m. Tuesday morning at the Maryland Lottery headquarters, according to a lottery announcement.

The Maryland ticket, which the lottery said was sold March 30 at the Milford Mill 7-Eleven at 8014 Liberty Road, is one of three winning tickets sold throughout the country. The others were in Kansas and Illinois.

It was a $656 million jackpot—reportedly the highest lottery payout in history.

The payout could be given to each of the three winners as follows, according to the WBAL TV report:

"Should the winner choose the annuity, they'd get $218.6 million. Should they choose the cash option, they'd get $158 million before taxes, a little more than $105 million after taxes," Maryland Lottery Director Stephen Martino said.
