On The Road
As of 7:33 a.m., the left lane of southbound US-29 after Lockwood Drive was blocked due to a crash, according to WTOP Traffic. [Kemp Mill, MD]
As of 7:15 a.m., debris was reported in the roadway at MD-85 South at Keller Lime Plant Road, according to MDOT. [Buckeystown, MD]
As of 7:03 a.m., the northbound-right traffic lane and right shoulder of US-1 North at West Main Street were closed, according to MDOT. [Thurmont, MD]
As of 6:49 a.m., a crash was causing delays on the Outer Loop of the Capital Beltway/I-495 near MD-650/New Hampshire Avenue, according to WTOP Traffic. [Hillandale, MD]
As of 6:48 a.m., two left-northbound lanes on South Capitol Street, Southwest/Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge were blocked due to a vehicle crash, according to DDOT. [Washington, DC]
As of 6:23 a.m., the southbound-left shoulder of I-270 South past New Design Road were closed due to a three-vehicle collision, according to MDOT. [Frederick, MD]
Ongoing Closures:
Both southbound shoulders of I-395 South from Conway Street to the Fort McHenry Tunnel are closed, according to MDOT. [Baltimore, MD]
Two northbound-right traffic lanes and shoulder of MD-173 North between Cabot Drive and Marley Neck Boulevard are closed due to utility work, according to MDOT. [Baltimore, MD]
Westbound-right off-ramp from MD-725 West at John Rogers Boulevard is closed due to roadwork, according to MDOT. [Upper Marlboro, MD]
The northbound-left shoulder of I-95 North is closed from Weigh Station Access Road to Cherry Hill Road, according to MDOT. [Adelphi, MD]
Eastbound shoulder, traffic lane and center turn lane of MD-648 East between Kuethe Road and Governor Ritchie Highway are closed due to a utility problem, according to MDOT. [Glen Burnie, MD]
Mass Transit
As of 7:24 a.m., MARC Camden Lien Train 840 was experiencing a 15-25 minute delay this morning due to CSX freight train interference, according to MDOT/MTA. (Washington, DC)
As of 4:41 a.m., a driver shortage was causing the following Commuter Bus trip to not operate on Thursday morning: Route 830 - Trip #4, according to MDOT/MTA. (Washington, DC)
DC Weather
Expect increasing clouds to pass through the region on Thursday, with a high temperature of 78 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Skies were mostly cloudy with a temperature of 65 degrees at 7:35 a.m, at Washington-Dulles International Airport.
Plenty of sunshine was reported over the Rockville area on Thursday morning, with the high expected to reach 78 with low of 54, according to the AccuWeather forecast.
