On The Road

As of 7:33 a.m., a disabled vehicle reduced traffic to a single lane on I-895 South in the Harbor Tunnel, according to WTOP Traffic. The vehicle was cleared but delays remain. [Baltimore, MD]

As of 7:30 a.m., delays remain after a crash was cleared from eastbound I-395/Southeast-Southwest Expressway, according to WTOP Traffic. [Washington, DC]

As of 7:26 a.m., debris was reported in the roadway on the Inner Loop of the Baltimore Beltway/I-695 past the exit for I-83/Jones Falls Expressway, according to MDOT. [Brooklandville, MD]

As of 7:17 a.m., delays remain in both directions of MD-4 near Suitland Parkway and Presidential Parkway after an overturned vehicle was removed, according to WTOP-Traffic. [District Heights, MD]

As of 7:15 a.m., the westbound shoulder and traffic lane of MD-343 West between Race Street and US-50 are closed, according to MDOT. [Cambridge, MD]

As of 7:11 a.m., the northbound-left shoulder of I-95 North is closed from Weigh Station Access Road to Cherry Hill Road, according to MDOT. [Adelphi, MD]

As of 7:11 a.m., the northbound-shoulder and left turn lane of MD-190 North at Ridgefield Road are closed, according to MDOT. [Kenwood, MD]

As of 7:11 a.m., westbound right shoulder of MD-140 between Reese Road and Old Baltimore Road is closed, according to MDOT. [Carrollton, MD]

As of 7:10 a.m., a crash was reported on westbound MD-100after Arundel Mills Boulevard, according to WTOP Traffic. [Hanover, MD]

As of 7:10 a.m., the northbound-left shoulder and left traffic lane of I-95 North past the exit for MD-24/Vietnam Veterans Memorial Highway are closed, according to MDOT. [Abington, MD]

As of 7:08 a.m., the westbound-right shoulder of I-95 West is closed from Powder Mill Road to the Capital Beltway, according to MDOT. [Calverton, MD]

As of 7:06 a.m., the northbound-right shoulder and right traffic lane of I-95 North past the exit for MD-43/White Marsh Boulevard are closed, according to MDOT. [Bradshaw, MD]

As of 7:05 a.m., a crash was reported on I-70 East at the exit for eastbound I-695/Baltimore Beltway, according to MDOT. All lanes are open. [Baltimore, MD]

As of 7:01 a.m., a crash was reported on I-270 South at the exit for MD-80/Fingerboard Road, according to MDOT. [Urbana, MD]

As of 6:57 a.m., delays remain after a disabled vehicle was removed from the Outer Loop of the Capital Beltway/I-495 before MD-193/University Boulevard, according to WTOP Traffic.

As of 6:48 a.m., debris was reported in the roadway of eastbound US-40 at Boonsboro Mountain Road, according to MDOT. [Finksburg, MD]

As of 6:27 a.m., the southbound shoulder of I-895 at the Toll Plaza is closed due to a collision, according to MDOT. [Baltimore, MD]

As of 6:23 a.m., the right lane f eastbound I-395/Southeast-Southwest Freeway at Maine Street is blocked due to a work zone, according to WTOP Traffic. [Washington, DC]

As of 6:05 a.m., the westbound shoulder and traffic lane of MD-140 West past Old Gamber Road are closed due to roadwork, according to MDOT. [Baltimore, MD]

On Metro

Due to construction on northbound I-395 at the 3rd Street Tunnel, buses on the following Metrobus routes are experiencing delays in both directions, according to Metro: 32, 36, and P6.

Local and Express shuttle bus service available at Stadium-Armory due to the summer platform improvement project, according to Metro. Several stations in Maryland on the Orange Line are closed due to the project: Minnesota Avenue, Deanwood, Cheverly, Landover, and New Carrollton. [Washington, DC]

DC Weather

Tuesday will start off sunny but switch over to showers in the Baltimore/Washington area, according to the National Weather Service. The high today is expected to reach 93 degrees.

A heavy thunderstorm is expected to pass through the D.C. metro region on Tuesday night, according to the AccuWeather forecast. At 8 a.m., there was a 55 percent chance of rain and the temperature was 72 degrees under mostly sunny skies. The high on Tuesday is expected to be 92 and the low 65.

Mayor Muriel Bower activated the District's Heat Emergency Plan due to a forecast of extreme temperatures. The heat emergency will go into effect at 10 a.m., on Tuesday. The District's cooling centers will be open for residents seeking relief from the heat. A full list of the center locations is available online.
