On The Road

As of 7:27 a.m., a crash was reported on the Outer Loop of I-95/Capital Beltway prior to the exit for MD-5/Branch Avenue, according to WTOP Traffic. MDOT reports that the right shoulder and right traffic lane are blocked.[Marlow Heights, MD]

As of 7:27 a.m., fire department activity has been cleared and the following roads have reopened to traffic: 1000 block of Wisconsin Avenue, Northwest, between K and M Streets; 3200 block of Grace Street, Northwest, between Potomac Street and Wisconsin Avenue, according to AlertDC. [Washington, DC]

As of 7:08 a.m., northbound left shoulder of I-95 North is closed from Weigh Station Access Road to Cherry Hill Road, according to MDOT. [Cherry Hill Park, MD]

As of 7 a.m., the shoulder of westbound I-70 is closed between the westbound exit for MD-27/Ridge Road the eastbound exit for MD-94/Woodbine Road, according to MDOT. [Mount Airy, MD]

As of 6:46 a.m., a crash was reported on southbound MD-3 near MD-424/Davidsonville Road, according to WTOP Traffic. [Crofton, MD]

As of 4:47 a.m., DC-295 southbound ramp to East Capitol Street was blocked due to police activity, according to WTOP Traffic. [Washington, DC]

As of 3:41 a.m., debris was reported in the roadway on northbound MD-178 at Shawnee Court. [Millersville, MD]

On Metro

As of 7:20 a.m., expect residual delays in both directions on Metro's Red Line, following an earlier signal problem outside the Rhode Island Avenue station, according to Metro [Washington, DC]

As of 7 a.m., MARC Camden Line Train 849 is expected to experience a 10-20 minute departure delay this morning due to CSX track work interference, according to MDOT. [Washington, DC]

Metro SubwayLink is single tracking due to required maintenance in areas between Johns Hopkins and Charles Center. Patrons may experience delays in east and westbound service and we ask that you please plan ahead for your travels during this time, according to MDOT. [Baltimore, MD]

Local and Express shuttle bus service available at Stadium-Armory due to the summer platform improvement project, according to Metro. Several stations in Maryland on the Orange Line are closed due to the project: Minnesota Avenue, Deanwood, Cheverly, Landover, and New Carrollton. [Washington, DC]

DC Weather

Friday will be mostly sunny, with a high near 83 and a north wind of 7 to 11 mph, according to the National Weather Service. The skies were overcast at 7:37 a.m., with a current temperature of 71 degrees and a 61 percent humidity rate.

As of 7:39 a.m., the temperature in Rockville, Maryland was 68, with a high of 80 and low of 55 under mostly cloudy skies, according to the AccuWeather forecast.
