On The Road

As of 7:30 a.m., the shoulder and one lane of northbound MD-462 between MD-132 and Cronin Drive are closed, according to MDOT. [Chevy Chase, MD]

As of 7:24 a.m., westbound right shoulder off MD-140 is closed between Reese Road and Old Baltimore Road, according to MDOT. [Carrollton, MD]

As of 7:23 a.m., all lanes in both directions of Benning Road, Northeast between 44th Street Northeast and East Capital Street are blocked due to police activity, according to WTOP. [Washington, DC]

As of 7:11 a.m., one eastbound lane and shoulder of MD-564 at Md-193 are closed, according to MDOT. [Glenn Dale, MD]

As of 7:08 a.m., a disabled vehicle was reported on northbound I-95 at the exit to northbound I-695/Baltimore Beltway, according to MDOT. [Arbutus, MD]

As of 7:03 a.m., the left shoulder off northbound I-95 from Weigh Station Access Road to Cherry Hill Road is closed, according to MDOT. [Adelphi, MD]

As of 7:03 a.m., shoulder and both traffic lanes of southbound MD-70 between Calvert Street and College Avenue are closed, according to MDOT. [Annapolis, MD]

As of 7:02 a.m., the westbound shoulder of I-70 is closed at Watersville Road, according to MDOT. [Lisbon, MD]

As of 7:01 a.m., an event is blocking all lanes of 1st Street Southeast in both directions, according to WTOP Traffic. [Washington, DC]

As of 6:57 a.m., MD-210 in both directions from Palmer Road to Livingston Road is closed for emergency repairs, according to Prince George's County Fire & EMS. The road is expected to reopen by 2 p.m. [Fort Washington, MD]

As of 6:54 a.m., eastbound shoulder of MD-80 at Big Woods Road is closed due to a two-vehicle collision, according to MDOT. [Urbana, MD]

As of 6:33 a.m., a disabled truck on the ramp from eastbound US-50 to southbound MD-201/DC-295 is causing delays, according to WTOP Traffic. [Cheverly, MD]

As of 5:31 a.m., right shoulder of I-495/Capital Beltway Inner Loop at Riggs Road Drive is closed due to a collision, according to MDOT. [Hillandale, MD]

As off 5:23 a.m., a crash involving a truck is blocking the right shoulder of I-495/Outer Loop off the Capital Beltway before MD-650/New Hampshire Avenue, according to WTOP Traffic. [Woodmoor, MD]

On Metro

As of 7:48 a.m., Metrobuses on Routes 64, H8, are experiencing delays in both directions due to police activity on New Hampshire Avenue, Northwest at Georgia Avenue, according to Metro. [Washington, DC]

As of 7:48 a.m., Metrobuses on Routes V7 and V8 are experiencing delays in both directions due to police activity on Benning Road at 44th Street, Northeast, according to Metro. [Washington, DC]

As of 7:48 a.m., due to construction on Rhode Island Avenue westbound Metrobuses on Route 96 are being detoured on Rhode Island Avenue, Northwest at R Street and are resuming route on U St at Vermont Ave Northwest, according to Metro. [Washington, DC]

As of 6:44 a.m., Light RailLink is experiencing service delays, according to MTAMaryland. Customers are asked to plan for their travels. [Baltimore, MD]

Local and Express shuttle bus service available at Stadium-Armory due to the summer platform improvement project, according to Metro. Several stations in Maryland on the Orange Line are closed due to the project: Minnesota Avenue, Deanwood, Cheverly, Landover, and New Carrollton. [Washington, DC]

DC Weather

Hot and humid conditions are expected to continue on Tuesday, with thunderstorms predicted for the afternoon and evening, according to the National Weather Service.

At 7:56 a.m., the skies above Rockville, Maryland were mostly sunny and the temperature was 73 degrees, according to the AccuWeather forecast. Tuesday's high is expected to be 96, with a low of 73.
