MARYLAND — Good morning, Patch readers in Maryland! Before you head out the door, check out Patch's traffic report — which covers suburban Maryland and Washington, D.C.

Here are the latest traffic updates that will impact your morning commute on Tuesday, July 12.

On the Road

As of 7:15 a.m., the left lane of southbound MD-3 near MD-175 near Millersville, Maryland is blocked due to a crash.

As of 7:14 a.m., a disabled vehicle was blocking the the left lane of the Outer Loop of the Capital Beltway/I-495 near Georgia Avenue near Silver Spring, Maryland

As of 7:13 a.m., the left side of westbound MD-32 is blocked after MD-175 in Odenton, Maryland due to a crash.

As of 7:10 a.m., drivers traveling south on the Baltimore-Washington Parkway can expect delays above MD-197 due to a disabled vehicle.

On the Metro

As of 6:13 a.m., riders can expect residual delays on the Silver Line to Largo Town Center because of an earlier power problem outside the McLean station in Virginia.

DC Weather

Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected Tuesday between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m., across the D.C. metro region, according to the National Weather Service. Showers are then likely after 5 p.m. The storms could bring high winds and small hail to the area.

As of 6:56 a.m., the temperature at the Gaithersburg-Montgomery County Airport was 68 degrees, with 76 percent humidity. The thermometer is expected to reach 91 degrees, according to NWS' forecast.

A flood watch was issued at 12 a.m., on Tuesday, for portions of Washington, D.C. and suburban Maryland, according to the AccuWeather forecast.

The watch will go into effect at 4 p.m., and run through this evening. Flash flooding is possible from the excessive rain that's expected to move through the region later in the day.
