MARYLAND — Good morning, Patch readers in Maryland! Before you head out the door, check out Patch's traffic report — which covers suburban Maryland and Washington, D.C.

Here are the latest traffic updates that will impact your morning commute on Wednesday, July 13 — which happens to be National Barbershop Music Appreciation Day.

On the Road

As of 7:13 a.m., storm debris is blocking the right lane of southbound MD-201/Kenilworth Avenue at Old Calvert Road in Greenbelt Park. Drivers should expect delays.

As of 7:13 a.m., some drivers may encounter delays on the Outer Loop of the Capital Beltway/I-495 near Silver Spring. Some lanes are blocked due to an earlier three-car crash between Colesville Road and George Avenue near Holy Cross Hospital. The crash was cleared, but traffic remains slow.

As of 7:13 a.m., a downed tree is blocking the right lane of eastbound MD-193/University Boulevard between Metzerott Road and Rhode Island Avenue in College Park.

As of 7:13 a.m., drivers should proceed with caution around an emergency road work zone southbound on MD-97/George Avenue between King William Drive and Old Baltimore Road in Olney. The right lane is blocked.

As of 7:13 a.m., storm debris are blocking traffic in both directions on MD-28/Norbeck Road between Avery Road and East Dude Drive near the Croydon Creek Nature Center.

As of 7:13 a.m., drives should be on the lookout for a disabled vehicle northbound I-270 near MD-189/Falls Road in Rockville.

As of 7:13 a.m., downed wards are blocking traffic in both directions on MD-424/Davidsonville Road south of MD-450/Defense Highway near Croton

As of 7:12 a.m., downed wires are blocking traffic in both directions on MD-197 north of Old Chapel Road south of Bowie.

As of 7:12 a.m., all lanes of US-1 are blocked between Lakeland Road and Campus Drive/Paint Branch Parkway due to downed power lines.

As of 7 a.m., there was a collision at the intersection of Columbia Pike and Old Columbia Pike in Burtonsville.

As of 5:43 a.m., a vehicle fire at the entrance of Gunners Branch Park in Germantown was causing delays in the 18500 block of Cinnamon Drive. Fire and rescue units responded to the scene.

On the Metro

As of 7:13 a.m., delays are reported on the Yellow/Green Line in the direction of Branch Avenue/Huntington due to a switch problems at Greenbelt.

On MARC

As of 7:19, the MARC Brunswick 876 was experiencing 15-25 minute delay due to main line signal issues.

DC Weather

Following last night's storms, the National Weather Service forecast calls for dry weather on Wednesday, with temperatures reaching the mid to upper 80s. There is slight chance of shower in the afternoon for parts of southern Maryland and central Virginia.

AccuWeather reported that it was sunny in the Silver Spring and the temperature was 69 degrees. A thunderstorm may occur in the evening. Wednesday's high will be 87 with a low of 69.
