Force 3 to Host 18th Annual Charity Golf Tournament
Event proceeds to benefit the Children’s Cancer Foundation
Crofton, Maryland – June 3, 2014 – Force 3, today announced that it will host its 18th Annual Charity Golf Tournament on June 13, 2014 to benefit the Children’s Cancer Foundation.
The Children’s Cancer Foundation® (CCF) is a charity committed to raising funds for research and treatment of cancers that affect children. It has been estimated that 11,630 children in the United States under the age of 15 will be diagnosed with cancer in 2013.
Despite paramount advances in cancer treatment in recent decades, cancer still remains the leading cause of death when it comes to children’s disease. In its effort to fight pediatric cancer, CCF helps to provide critical funding to researchers and facilities to study children’s leukemia, immune system disorders, cancerous tumors, and cells.
Force 3’s tournament will feature a day of golf at Queenstown Harbor Golf Course, and will include longest drive and closest to the pin contests. The festivities will kick off with a Crab Feast at The Jetty in Grasonville, Maryland on the evening of Thursday, June 12.
Last year, with the help of sponsors and participants, Force 3 was able to raise over $90,000 for CCF and its battle against childhood cancer. Since its founding, over 33.6 million dollars has been given in grants by the foundation to provide hope to those affected by pediatric cancer.
