Rodgers Forge Road Sucks Car Into Sinnkhole After Water Main Break
An 8-inch water main break caused road damage, water interruption in Towson on Monday.
TOWSON, MD — A water main break damaged a road, disrupted water service and created a sinkhole Monday in Rodgers Forge.
At 8:05 a.m., the Baltimore Department of Public Works reported that there was an 8-inch water main break in the 100 block of Dumbarton Road.
There were 137 people whose water was unavailable during the hours-long repair, officials said. A sinkhole also formed in the road, sucking in the front part of a Chevrolet.

After 3 p.m., officials said that the water main had been fixed, and citizens should run water until it is clear.
The sinkhole was filled in around 4 p.m. and the road was repaired after 5 p.m., ABC 2 News reported.
