A third-tier winning Powerball ticket worth $10,000 remains unclaimed in Prince George's County following last week's $587.5 million jackpot drawing. The winning Prince George's ticket was bought at Stop 4 All in Fort Washington, according to Maryland Lottery.
Third-tier winners must match four of the winning numbers and the Powerball number. Winning numbers from the Nov. 28 drawing are 05, 16, 22, 23, and 29— and the Powerball was 6, according to Erica Palmisano, Maryland Lottery spokeswoman.
Two additional $10,000 winners who purchased tickets in Maryland have not claimed prizes as of Wednesday, one was purchased from a 7-Eleven in Germantown and another from a 7-Eleven in Baltimore City.
Many new or infrequent players are not aware of the other prize levels available, according to the Maryland Lottery.
“It’s important for players to check their tickets before throwing them away,” said Maryland Lottery Director of Communications Carole Everett. “There are plenty of other prizes beside the jackpot which are still substantial.”
Players have 182 days from the drawing to redeem their prizes. For information on how to claim prizes, see Maryland Lottery's website.
