The is investigating what appears to be a series of daytime residential burglaries in several east Carroll neighborhoods during the past two weeks, according to a news release.
While one of the burglaries occurred just east of Westminster, the remaining six span Carroll’s border with Baltimore County, reaching from northern Eldersburg to southern Manchester. Police said suspects have entered the homes through unlocked doors and windows, removing more than $40,000 in cash, jewelry, electronics, firearms and other valuables.
Residents are reminded to close and lock all doors and windows before leaving home and to report all suspicious persons or vehicles to their local law enforcement agency.
