Police said the call came in at 3:15 p.m. for a report of a robbery. According to county police spokesperson Officer Rebecca Innocenti, the victim reported that someone had come up behind her, and she felt the stun gun on her leg.

According to WJLA, which first reported the incident, the suspect was allegedly after the victim's cell phone. WJLA also noted that in Montgomery County "Tasers and other shock devices are legal for purchase by adults for self-defense purposes only."

The case will be assigned to a district investigator. Police are still searching for the suspect, whose description has not yet been released to the public.
