'Lighting the Way Home' Ceremony Postponed
"Lighting the Way Home," the lighting ceremony that was scheduled for Tuesday, March 18 at the Long Branch community of Carroll Avenue/Quebec Terrace, has been postponed and will be rescheduled for a future date, according to a news release.

Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggett and the collaborative team of “Common Ground”  – YMCA Youth and Family Services, Arts on the Block, Imagination Stage and Gandhi Brigade – will host this special event.

The lighting ceremony and celebration will highlight the positive changes youth are making in the redevelopment of their own low income, high crime community through the vehicles of art and design.

The celebration of the youth’s achievements will include the unveiling of their designed, handmade illuminated mosaic address signs.
