Acton Fire Department Extinguishes Multi-Car Fire
Several cars caught fire at a dealer storage lot.
ACTON, MA — Acton fire crews put out a fire that spread to several cars in a dealer storage lot on Wednesday. There were no injuries but several cars were charred in the flames.
Fire officials got the call about a car fire at 2 Powder Mill Rd just before 3 p.m. on Wednesday. The cars were in a lot used by Wheeler Dealer Inc. for overflow vehicle storage. Five Acton firefighters and three Maynard firefighters worked to put out the fire.
No injuries were reported — Four cars burned and are a total loss, according to fire officials. Three more cars sustained significant damage because they were so close to the others that burned.

Acton Fire and Police departments believe the cause of the fire was an electrical issue in one of the cars starters.
Firefighters cleared the scene at approximately 4:26 p.m. Wednesday.
