Police: Acton Worker Tried to Have Sex with Minor
A man who police said works in Acton was charged with trying to have sex with a minor.

Karl W. Leeman, 46, of Milford, N.H., tried to set up a rendezvous with a 14-year-old girl, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.

Federal authorities, posing as the fictitious girl's mother, contacted Leeman through Craigslist and asked him to be part of a “taboo relationship” with the girl.

"Leeman proceeded to engage in more than 650 email communications with the purported mother, detailing the sexual activities in which he would engage with the minor 'daughter,'" U.S. Attorney Carmen Ortiz said a statement. "On Feb. 27, Leeman traveled from his place of work in Acton, Mass. to Watertown for the purpose of having sex with a minor.

"Upon his arrival at the designated meeting place, he was arrested by federal agents. At the time of his arrest, Leeman was carrying alcohol, bath products, lubricant, and gifts of clothing for the minor."
