South Acton Morning Departure Times Bumped Back in Commuter Rail Schedule Changes

ACTON, MA—Those commuting from South Acton Train Station in to Boston will have to wake up a bit earlier starting on May 23.

According to the newest schedule published Tuesday set to take effect on May 23, the 5:51 and the 6:38 morning trains will be bumped back to 5:32 a.m. and 6:27 a.m. respectively. In addition, the 8:28 a.m. inbound train will now depart at 8:02 a.m., and the 8:58 a.m. train will now depart at 8:42 a.m.

During the afternoon, the 5:30, 5:50 and 6:20 trains will depart from North Station heading towards South Acton five minutes later than previously scheduled.

There will also be a new "reverse commute train from North Station to Littleton/495 to serve employment growth in the area at 6:45 a.m., as well as an early reverse commute to Fitchburg at 6:30 p.m.
