The controversial plan for a gas pipeline extension through a number of communities, including Andover, has taken a new twist.
The Eagle-Tribune reported that Andover Town Manager Reginald “Buzz” Stapczynski told representatives of Kinder Morgan, which is proposing the Tennessee Gas Pipeline Project, to stay out of Andover until they go before the Andover Board of Selectmen about the project.
This is the same project that would affect North Reading. North Reading recently held a meeting in which residents told the gas pipeline officials that the project is not wanted. Residents charged that some representatives have been pushy and persistently knocked on doors and called residents in hopes of surveying their land.
North Reading officials spoke out about the fact that the company representatives went to the neighbors before informing Town Hall of the project, which is a similar argument voiced in Andover.
