Yang's Raises $1,600 in Troop Challenge
The money will help an injured New Hampshire veteran modify his home.
"We decided to get anyone to be a part of this, so it's not specifically people who work here," Diana Kiesel, who owns Yang's with her husband Alex, said.
The event raised an impressive $1,600 with competitions in jump rope, push-ups, abdominal in-and-outs, wall sit, pull-ups and backpack challenge.
The event was a preparation for Run for the Troops, an annual event held in April to benefit troops in need.
"We had a trainer, Cindy Rainer, who contacted Bill Pennington, founder of Run for the Troops, and talked to him about how to include gyms," Kiesel said.
In the jumprope competition, Jamey Lachiana won for the men with 373 jumps in two minutes. Susan Lucy won for the women with 303 in two minutes.
In push-ups, Chris Fazzio won for the men with 113 in two minutes, and Danielle Benson won for the women with 110.
Benson also won the ab-in-and-out competition for the women with 170 in two minutes. Chuck Hanes won for the men with 158 in two minutes.
The winners of the grueling wall-sit were Marko Duffy and Denise Dionne.
