The following is from the Town of Arlington.

Snow Emergency/Parking Ban Declared

The Town of Arlington has declared a snow emergency/parking ban, effective Saturday February 15th 8PM until further notice. Details and further updates will be posted at  arlingtonma.gov.

During a Snow Emergency, a parking ban is in place on all streets and municipal parking lots.  It is crucial to keep cars off the streets during this time to allow the Town to clear the roads.  Any vehicles parked on the streets during these hours will be subject to ticketing and towing.

Pilot Program Parking at Russell Common Lot

As part of a pilot, there are some parking spots available at Russell Common Parking lot on a first come first serve basis. Cars parked during the emergency must be moved one hour after the ban has been lifted. Please  see map for location of these spots.

Public Works and Town officials will be deployed and will monitor the storm’s progress. Storms can be unpredictable and residents are reminded of the following important phone numbers:

Please monitor local media for updated storm conditions.

Storm Clean Up

After a storm it is equally important for all residents and businesses to keep public walkways clear.  Other ways to help, include shoveling out fire hydrants by your property or that of a neighbor and clearing any catch basins near your property.
