Here is the latest on Hurricane Sandy and its aftermath for Arlington residents.

1.) Latest Forecast

It’s expected to rain all day today and into the night, with some thunderstorms mixed in, according to the Weather Channel’s forecast at 11 p.m. Monday. Temperatures should reach the mid 60s, and winds are supposed to be 15-25 mph.

The trick-or-treating forecast is still looking pretty good, as rain is only expected in the morning Wednesday.

2.) Power Outages

At 11 p.m. Monday, about 10 percent – or 2,155 of 21,131 – of NSTAR customers in Arlington were without power, according to NSTAR’s outage map. Arlington peaked at about 15 percent of residents without power Monday evening, which was typical of Boston’s inner suburbs.

For downed electrical wires, call 911 and  NSTAR at 1-800-592-2000. Report outages directly to NSTAR at this same number.

3.) Arlington Schools Closed Today

As you probably know by now, there is no school in Arlington today. The Department of Public Works needed time to remove fallen trees and limbs throughout town, according to the district.

4.) Trash and Recycling Pickup

Trash and recycling pickup is on a one-day delay this week; Monday’s route will be collected this morning, starting at 8:30 a.m.

5.) Town-wide Parking Ban

A town-wide parking ban is in effect until noon today.

6.) Town Hall Offices, Libraries Open Today

The town buildings will be open regular hours: Town Hall, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Robbins Library, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Fox Library, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

7.) Charging Stations

The town has designated three locations today as “charging stations,” places where residents without power can charge their cell phones and other mobile devices. The locations are the Robbins and Fox libraries (hours listed above) and the Senior Center, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

8.) MBTA

The MBTA is up and running on its regular schedule.
