Obituary: John C. Chapman

Chapman was a longtime Arlington resident.

Obituary: John C. Chapman

John C. Chapman, beloved son of Irene C. Chapman and the late Carl Chapman died peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Lahey Clinic in Burlington on Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013.

John was a longtime resident of Arlington. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he enjoyed building model cars and was a member of the Classic Plastic Model Club. He was very artistic and a talented cartoonist as all his friends would tell you. He loved watching grade Z 1950s horror films with his family.

A gathering of family and friends in memory of John will be held at DeVito Funeral Home, 1145 Mass. Ave., Arlington, from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 17.

He is survived by his mother Irene, his brother Eddy Chapman and his wife Suzanne, his sister Lorraine Chapman and her husband Alan Sutherland, and his nephews Danny and Derek Chapman. In lieu of flowers, donations in John’s name can be made to Friend’s of Boston’s Homeless or a charity of your choice.
