Barnstable Resident to Monitor Cape Cod Baseball League 2017 Season Series Sweeps Stats
Cape Cod Baseball League fans invited to comment on local sports blog.

Lee Hill, Barnstable resident, today announced his sports statistics and trivia blog, www.seriesweep.blogspot.com, would monitor and provide commentary on the results of the 2017 Cape Cod Baseball League season.
Hill in making the announcement said: “Since its creation in 1885, the Cape Cod Baseball League has entertained Cape Cod’s baseball fans with exciting games that generate statistics of all kinds. These data provide fodder for rival fans to celebrate, debate and boast about their favorite team. We specialize in reporting and analyzing series sweeps which are defined as winning all of the games in a series of consecutive games between two teams. Series sweeps create an opportunity for the winning team’s fans to brag about the drubbing of an archrival.
A major boast worthy opportunity for CCBL team fans is the winning of the Arnold Mycock Trophy awarded to CCBL annual Champions. Since 2010, series sweeps have occurred three times or 43% of the time. The Cotuit Kettleers performed the feat twice and the Y-D Red Sox once. Unfortunately, the Falmouth Commodores were swept twice and the Orleans Firebirds once.
