Car Fire Sets Barnstable Garage Ablaze
Firefighters handled the flames before they spread inside the Marstons Mills home.
MARSTONS MILLS, MA — A car caught fire Tuesday inside a garage at a Marstons Mills home, and the flames spread to the garage and another car inside, according to fire officials.
Officials sad the fire started just before 2 p.m. in the 40th block of Dory Circle. When Centerville firefighters arrived, they found the fire engulfed the garage and spread to the exterior of the house. Fire officials said the flames never spread inside the home.
Fire officials said the residents were home during the fire, but they escaped after their smoke alarm alerted them. No injuries were reported.
