Please join us on Friday March 14 at 7:30 pm for a Split Bill Featuring Two Award-Winning World Music Duos

Jenna Moynihan and Mairi Chaimbeul

From harpist Mairi’s Isle of Skye in Scotland and fiddler Jenna’s Chautauqua Lake in New York comes a haunting and enchanting fusion of the parallel and shared musical visions of two multiple award-winning and precociously-talented young performers and composers.
Rooted in Scottish and Appalachian music, Jenna and Mairi have developed a sound that celebrates and explores beautiful melodies, steeped in tradition, but pushing boundaries with new arrangements, original compositions, and a breath of new life infused into old tunes.

Tali Rubinstein and Gilad Barakan

Rubinstein began recorder studies young, developing rapidly and growing proficiency as an inventive virtuoso via classical and jazz training, graduating with honors from the Jerusalem Academy of Music while earning multiple awards and honors and performing and touring internationally.
Gilad Barakan, guitarist, was born in Jerusalem and graduated GIT in Los Angeles, winning the outstanding player award and the Stanley Clarke competition and performing extensively. Now both busy active performers and students at the Berklee College of Music, they have founded an exciting and inspired new duo creating and performing lively and original Israeli jazz and song interpretations with guitar, recorder, and vocals.
