Filomena (Gesualdi) Zelano, 89, beloved wife of the late Luigi Zelano, died Monday, March 9, 2015 at Beverly Hospital.
Born in Panni Foggia, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Carlo and Maria (Calitri) Gesualdi. She was raised in Italy and immigrated to the United States in 1960, settling in Beverly where she had since resided.

A longtime communicant of St. Mary Star of the Sea Church in Beverly, Filomena was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, sister and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.
Surviving her are four daughters, Cindy Mahan of Tampa, FL, Tina Zelano and her husband, Cy Kilgore of Beverly, Patty Zelano Derrane and her husband, John of Beverly and Marcella Zelano-Reed and her husband, Christopher of Beverly, two sons, Anthony Zelano of Beverly and Carlo Zelano and his wife, Debra of Beverly, nine grandchildren, Amy McCartney and her husband Todd, Melissa LeBlanc and her husband, Chris, Andrea Zelano, Nicholas Zelano, Anna Derrane, Sam Reed, Luigi Derrane, Jack Reed and Molly Derrane, three great grandchildren, Conlan McCartney and Noble & Charlotte Beerworth, one brother, Luigi Gesualdi of Beverly and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Antonio, Generose, Mario and Rocco Gesualdi and Raffaela Mastrangelo.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 253 Cabot Street, Beverly, Friday, March 13, 2015 at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly, Thursday from 4 - 8 p.m. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Beverly.
