Police: Van on Fire; Power Surge

Excerpts from the Beverly Police Department log.

Friday, Nov. 20

At 12:14 a.m., there was a noise complaint on Rantoul Street.

At 4:07 a.m., there was a power surge on Elliott Street that caused a momentary power interruption. Several business alarms were set off as a result of the power surge.

At 8:43 a.m., there was a van fire in the industrial park on West Dane Street. The fire department extinguished the fire and there was no damage to the adjacent building.

At 12:02 p.m., there was a report of a past larceny on Sohier Road.

At 12:18 p.m., a safe was found in the road on River Street. The owner was located and the safe was safely returned safe and sound.
