Braintree Police Arrest Quincy Man on Shoplifting Charge

The following is an excerpt from the Braintree Police Department's log: 

Wednesday, Feb. 12: 

  • At 7:15 a.m., police responded to a reported larceny on Jersey Avenue.
  • At 7:41 a.m., police responded to a medical emergency on Commercial Street.
  • At 8:05 a.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Washington Street.
  • At 1:05 p.m., police responded to a reported larceny on Granite Street.
  • At 2:38 p.m., police responded to a shoplifting incident on Granite Street. Paul J. Novicki, 40, of 35 Lyons St., Quincy, was arrested on charges of shoplifting merchandise by concealment and trespassing.
  • At 2:45 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Union Street.
  • At 4:36 p.m., a Beverly Court resident called police to report being the victim of identity theft.
  • At 6:14 p.m., police responded to an accident with injury on King Hill Road.
  • At 7:05 p.m., police responded to a larceny on Granite Street.
  • At 8:38 p.m., police responded to a reported weapons violation on Grossman Drive.
  • At 8:53 p.m., police responded to a report of threats on Rose Avenue.
  • At 9:36 p.m., police responded to a shoplifting incident on Granite Street.
  • At 10:14 p.m., police responded to an alarm on Grossman Drive.
  • At 10:59 p.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Rockdale Street.

Thursday, Feb. 13

  • At 12:49 a.m., police responded to a disturbance on Washington Street.
  • At 4:41 a.m., police responded to an alarm on Independence Avenue.
  • At 4:46 a.m., police took a report of a past break-in on Connelly Circle.
  • At 5:08 a.m., police responded to an alarm on Granite Street.
