Malden Man Found Dead In Freezer At Braintree Fish Company

BRAINTREE, MA — A Malden man was found dead in a freezer at a fish processing company on Commerce Drive, according to the Norfolk County District Attorney's office. Authorities have identified the man as Julio Cesar Costa, 45.

Just after midnight Thursday, workers found Costa unresponsive inside an industrial freezer at Channel Fish Processing.

Authorities said Costa was rushed to South Shore Hospital, but he did not survive. Costa was not a Channel Fish employee but worked for another company that was working on site.

There were no obvious signs of foul play, according to the district attorney's office, but the State Medical Examiner's office is still working to determine the exact cause of death.
