The following arrest report is based on reports for May 14 through 20. Look for weekday incident reports each Saturday, weekend reports each Monday, and arrest logs each Tuesday on Brookline Patch. Suspects are innocent until proven guilty.

Monday, May 14

  • Conspiracy drug law –  Erik Kapustin, 34, of Revere, Michael Frazier, 30, of Everett, and Jennifer Mulkerrin, 28, of Winthrop. Police saw three people on the Beacon Street sidewalk, near Harvard Street, looking anxiously over their shoulders. Two men and a woman were standing, one of them was going through a backpack and took out a prescription pill bottle. The three went their separate ways, and police stopped them all. While speaking to officers, all of them said they had been speaking to friends they had not seen in a while. The one with the pill bottle reportedly had a number of pills on him which did not match his presctiptions. All three were arrested and charged, the Kapustin with possession with intent to distribute, possession of a class C and D drug, and conspiracy to violate drug laws. The Frazier and Mulkerrin were charged with conspiracy to violate drug laws.

Tuesday, May 15

  • Carrying a dangerous weapon – Roxbury woman, Diedra Glover, aged 48. At around 3 a.m., an officer saw a woman walking down the street with a plastic cup, and banging on a window of Zaftig's Delicatessen. The officer stopped her and spoke to her, and found that she had a boxcutter in her pocket. She was arrested and charged with public drinking and disorderly conduct and on an outstanding warrant from Boston District Court.

Wednesday, May 16

  • Armed Robbery – Tabitha Brown, 40, of Dorchester. Three callers reported an armed robbery involving a knife at TJ Maxx, at about 4:15 p.m. Loss prevention staff at the store reported that a woman was attempting to put items in a personal bag. When they attempted to leave the store, an employee confronted them, which is when they pulled out a razor blade. The items were about $290 in value. The suspects fled the store in a red SUV, and police were unable to locate them, but they were able to get a name from the license plate. Police found Brown and brought her into the station for questioning, and was then placed under arrest and charged with armed robbery. Police have also attempted to contact her associate.
  • Graffiti law – 38-year-old Fintan Doherty, Malden resident. Police received a graffiti complaint at around 9:15 a.m. on Tuesday from 1450 Beacon Street. On Wednesday, police received a description and name of a possible suspect. He came into the station on his own accord at about 10 p.m. after officers called him, and was then interviewed. He was arrested and charged with malicious damage. Police were able to recover 144 images of his graffiti from his cell phone; a common practice among "taggers" is to photograph their work. 

Friday, May 18

  • Operating under the influence of alcohol – 30-year-old Andrew Helming, a Charlestown man. At about 1 a.m., an officer was parked near Englewood Avenue, and saw a green Toyota pickup pass at an estimated 40 mph in a 30 mph zone. Police began to follow him, and and saw him stop at a red light, then wait for about 10 seconds before moving through the light. When they pulled him over, they determined that he was under the influence of alcohol, and arrested and charged him with speeding and operating under the influence. 

Saturday, May 19 

  • Shoplifting – Brighton resident, 47-year-old Michael Pirone. A call of shoplifting came in from CVS at about 1:15 p.m. When officers arrived, employees pointed them to an aisle. where they found a man attempting to place items into two backpacks which officers say were so full of items, they could not be zipped shut. Among the items in the backpack, $150 worth of shampoo. Pirone was arrested and charged with shoplifting.
