No More Plastic Water Bottles in Brookline?
A special Board of Selectmen committee is asking residents to weigh in on the proposed town-wide ban.

BROOKLINE, MA - Bottled water drinkers may soon have to switch to tap. But not before they've said their piece.
The Board of Selectmen's Bottled Water Study Committee is asking residents for their input on a proposed plastic water bottle ban in town.
In light of last year's prohibition on the purchase of water in municipal buildings using town money, the committee is preparing a report on the feasibility and benefits of a town-wide ban for the next Town Meeting in May.

A complete ban was originally proposed at the Town Meeting in 2015, though the section on municipal buildings was the only clause approved.
Town officials previously banned styrofoam food containers and plastic bags in 2012.
