Super Lawyers names Brookline Resident Callan Stein a 2014 Rising Star

Massachusetts Super Lawyers recognized Brookline resident Callan Stein for his professional excellence in Civil Litigation Defense.

Massachusetts Super Lawyers recognized Brookline resident Callan Stein as a “Rising Star” in the field of Civil Litigation Defense. Callan is a graduate of Brandeis University and Boston University School of Law, and is currently an associate attorney in the litigation practice at the law firm of Donoghue Barrett & Singal in Boston. Callan’s practice focuses on business litigation, healthcare litigation, employment and whistleblower defense litigation, and research misconduct cases.

While at Donoghue Barrett & Singal, Callan has successfully represented clients in a wide range of matters. Some of his most notable victories include winning the dismissal of a high-profile federal civil lawsuit brought against a former Massachusetts probation department employee, helping win a landmark federal court ruling on a scientific misconduct case, and, recently, obtaining a settlement for over one million dollars on behalf of a corporate client in a leasing dispute. His name was included among the other Rising Stars in this year’s Super Lawyers Magazine, as well as in the November edition of Boston Magazine.

Super Lawyers evaluates candidates based on 12 indicators of professional achievement and peer recognition. An expert panel reviews peer nominations and independent research to determine the best lawyers in each state within their respective areas of practice. Qualifying attorneys who are either under the age of 40 or who have been practicing law for fewer than ten years are recognized as Rising Stars. Fewer than 5% of attorneys are selected as Super Lawyers, and fewer than 2.5% receive the Rising Star designation.
