Police Log: Burlington Woman Charged With Assaulting Police Officers

An excerpt from the Burlington Police Department log. The following arrest information was supplied by the BPD. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Police Log: Burlington Woman Charged With Assaulting Police Officers

Friday, Feb. 14

At 8:14 a.m., police responded to Bedford Street after a motorist struck a snow bank. The roads were icy and the driver lost control of the vehicle. There were no reported injuries.

At 10:50 a.m., police received a call about an elderly man hitchhiking on Winn Street. Police responded, but the man had left the area.

At 5:55 p.m., an employee at Macy’s reported a shoplifter. A person tried to steal $38 worth of gloves. Macy’s asked that police not charge the person.

 

Saturday, Feb. 15

At 2:46 p.m., police received a call about a hit-and-run accident on Middlesex Turnpike. The driver who fled is reportedly from Lexington. Burlington Police notified Lexington Police. Police are investigating.

At 10:26 p.m., police responded to Bedford Street after a motorist struck a street sign. There were no injuries.

 

Sunday, Feb. 16

At 1:05 p.m., police received a report from Van De Graaff Drive about a car struck by a plow overnight.

 

Monday, Feb. 17

At 1:11 a.m., a Maryvale Road resident reported hearing a loud bang and then someone walking away from the area. Police checked the area and everything appeared OK.

At 6:49 a.m., police responded Third Avenue after electrical equipment was stolen over the weekend.

At 3:05 p.m., police responded to the Burlington Mall after a parked car was struck by a hit-and-run driver. There was damage to the rear bumper.

At 3:51 p.m., a resident reported receiving an email asking for personal information. Police informed the person that it was a scam.

At 7:36 p.m., police arrested Erin M. Taylor, 39, 21 Hampden Ave., Burlington, and charged her with assault and battery and three counts of assault and battery on a police officer.
