Why go: The Burlington Sons of Italy is holding the event to raise funds for the non-profit organization and the Burlington High School Scholarship Fund. The many wines will be provided by the and the many international cheeses provided by Roche Bros. Market. There will be many free hors d'oeuvres and refreshments.

Why go: Mount Hope is featuring a concert at the Music Cafe @ Common Grounds featuring "The Making" Enjoy music from accomplished artists, a warm beverage, dessert and meet some new faces.

3. THE CURE OF 13 FOAM SWORD EVENT

Where/when: , 103 Terrace Hall Ave; Friday at 7 p.m.

Why go: Superstition is running high in Sidleterra. Some claim that a new band of mages calling themselves The Thirteen are responsible. They have been hexing members of the town and causing unfortunate accidents every where they go. Do you believe in bad luck? Find out how strong your convictions are in the face of hexing magic.  Bring your friends and your lucky charms. Foam swords provided.

Why go: The Curious Creatures professionals teach respect and appreciation for exotic and unusual animals. The presentation is hands-on and interactive and includes interesting facts and stories about our creatures in an educational and entertaining environment. Curious Creatures is bringing ten to twelve animals. .
