Johnnie’s/Whole Foods deal not done yet: The deal that would replace Charlestown’s  with a Whole Foods . Charlestown Neighborhood Council Chairman Tom Cunha said Tuesday at the council’s September general meeting that he had gotten that news from John Dejesus, president of the Foodmaster chain. Dejesus and his company declined to comment when contacted.

Julia Stiles filming in Charlestown starting next week: Julia Stiles and a movie crew . Ryan Cook, a movie business professional who worked on the recent Boston-based Mark Wahlberg hit, “Ted,” told the Charlestown Neighborhood Council Tuesday that he will bring Stiles and crew to town on Sept. 12, 13, 24, 25 and 26.

Triathlon to chart course through Charlestown: Charlestown residents are no strangers to the Boston Marathon, but, next year, the fittest among us will be able to participate in an (arguably, we’ve had some disagreement) that will take place, in part, on Charlestown’s streets. Rachel Aronis, the marketing director for Odyssey Trisport, told the Charlestown Neighborhood Council this week that her company aims to host a triathlon in Boston on June 28, 2013. The proposed course would direct two segments of the running portion of the events past the Bunker Hill Monument.

(Drunken?) tape thief tells police he would have stolen police cruiser, too: Boston Police arrested a man in Charlestown, Sunday, after he from a cruiser. Officers chased down the suspect and found him a short time later—standing over a roll of yellow crime scene tape. When asked about the tape, the man allegedly delivered this defense: “I broke into the police car and if the keys were in it… I would have taken it.”
