Coakley's Office to Hold Open Meeting Law Session in Chelmsford

The March event will be hosted at the Chelmsford Police Department.

Coakley's Office to Hold Open Meeting Law Session in Chelmsford
The Office of Attorney General Martha Coakley announced late last week that Chelmsford will be the host of an upcoming forum on the state's open meeting laws.

"The forum is part of a broad effort by the AG’s Office to assist public bodies in understanding and complying with the requirements of the Open Meeting Law," the announcement said. "State, local, regional, and county public bodies are required to comply with the Open Meeting Law."

Chelmsford's forum is one of several around the state, with future sessions slated for Pittsfield, Brookline, and Provincetown.

To be held inside Chelmsford Police Department, the meeting will take place on Tuesday, March 25, from 6-8 p.m.

There is no charge for the event, and all members of public bodies, municipal employees, and members of the general public are encouraged to attend, Coakley's office said.
