Police Log: A Jeep Lost, a Bicycle Found and a Suspicious Shopper

Police Log: A Jeep Lost, a Bicycle Found and a Suspicious Shopper

Wednesday, Feb. 13

7:38 a.m. – A 911 call from an anonymous Highland Street resident reported multiple vehicles were making a left turn off Main Street. The caller requested an extra eye for traffic enforcement in the area.

7:50 a.m. – The Transportation Department reported cars parked on both sides of River Street, making it impassable for buses.

8:01 a.m. – Police responded to a reported minor motor vehicle accident on Main Street, just prior to Route 2. One of the drivers was cited for failure to use care.

9:58 a.m. – A Riverside Avenue resident reported returning home from two weeks away to find her silver Jeep Wrangler was not where she parked it. The woman called back to report her ex-husband had borrowed the vehicle.

11:48 a.m. – A Lexington woman reported her blue purse was taken from a room at Concord Healthcare the previous afternoon. The woman called back later to say she found her purse.

12:33 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle accident on Old Marlboro Road by Old Road to Nine Acre Corner, a Sudbury teen was cited for multiple motor vehicle violations, including junior operator restriction violation and leaving the scene of property damage.

3:52 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a suspicious man at Vanderhoof's Hardware. According to the incident report, the man was indecisive about buying an item and kept walking in and out of the store before finally purchasing it and leaving without incident.

4:37 p.m. – An Acton woman walked into the station with a 21-speed bicycle she found at the end of Beharrell Street a week earlier.

9:18 p.m. – A Brooks Street resident reported losing his iPhone 5 earlier in the day at the Beede Center.

10:41 p.m. – A Hawthorne Lane resident called to complain about a loud snow plow at a neighboring residence.
