"There are far too many unsung heroes in our community," Chairman Brian Keaney said. "Our goal is to sing some of their praises and give them the recognition they deserve for the good works they do day in and day out."
The Dedham Public Service Recognition Award was created at the May, 2012 Town Meeting.
This committee is comprised of 7 members, appointed by the Town Moderator, representing Dedham's seven voting districts: Marie Louise Kehoe, Sunshine Millea, Brian Keaney, Chair, Susan Fay, Susan Webster, Secretary, Andrew Sullivan, and Cheryl Schoenfeld, Vice-chair.
Beginning January 1, 2013, the Dedham Public Service Recognition Committee will be accepting nominations for this first annual Dedham Public Service Recognition Award. Nomination forms will be distributed throughout town and will also be available on the Town website.
