5 Rescued From Burning Boat Off Cape Cod: Reports

A good Samaritan told the Coast Guard he had saved all five people aboard the boat.

FALMOUTH, MA – Five people were saved from a boat that caught fire off of Cape Cod Sunday, reports say. The fire was reported by a good Samaritan around 10 a.m., who told the Coast Guard he had rescued all five people aboard the burning boat.

All five people were uninjured. They were brought back to Woods Hole, where they were reunited with family.

According to NBC Boston, the 32-foot recreational boat was about 18 miles south of Nomans Land when it caught fire. It capsized and has since been recovered.
