Car Catches Fire In Falmouth Rollover Crash

The driver had to be taken to an off Cape trauma center for their injuries.

FALMOUTH, MA — A car caught fire during a rollover crash Monday afternoon in Falmouth, leaving one person injured.

Fire officials said the crash happened around 2:30 p.m. The car rolled over on the off-ramp from Route 28 northbound to Thomas B. Landers Road.

Fire officials said the drive got out of the burning vehicle before emergency personnel arrived. Firefighters extinguished the fire, and the driver was taken to an off Cape trauma center. Their injuries did not appear to be life-threatening, fire officials said.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation by Massachusetts State Police.
