A hidden tax on Ontario’s electricity has pushed the actual purchase price in the opposite direction, to the highest it’s ever been. The tax, called the Global Adjustment (GA), is levied on electricity purchases to cover a massive provincial slush fund for green energy.

Massachusetts has a hidden tax on its electric bills called "renewable resources charge" -- the charge to support the Massachusetts Renewable Energy Trust Fund.
In 2009, Ontario passed the Green Energy Act, an ambitious plan to phase out powered generation and reduce the province’s dependence on fossil fuels. An important component of this strategy was to increase the use of renewable forms of electricity like commercial megawatt wind turbines.

Likewise the Massachusetts legislature passed The Green Communities Act in 2008 (GCA) as a means to improve the Massachusetts environment by increasing the use of renewable energy. The state has a goal of 2000 megawatts of commercial wind turbine power by the year 2020.
Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick in October of 2013 delivered the keynote address at the Canadian Wind Energy Association Conference.
Falmouth, Massachusetts is ground zero for poorly placed commercial wind turbines in the United States taking health and property rights followed by twenty one other communities.
Recently four new commercial wind turbines on the border between Bourne and Plymouth one resident says their entire house vibrates during high winds.

Ontario suspends green energy plan, wind projects

"Blinking in the face of a growing political backlash against rising electricity prices, Ontario is suspending plans for more green energy.
The surprise announcement by Ontario’s Liberal government Tuesday — affecting wind, solar, hydro and energy-from-waste projects — is forecast to save
the province billions of dollars.
It comes after nearly a decade of the Liberals steadfastly sticking to a controversial green energy agenda that has cost Ontarians billions of dollars above market prices for power and alienated many people — especially in Southwestern Ontario, where most of the province’s wind farms are located.
At Queen’s Park, the abrupt move dominated questions in the legislature, with the Progressive Conservatives saying Ontario’s high electricity rates are driving businesses out of the province.
“This government has plowed ahead for years signing contracts for energy we simply do not need,” said Opposition Leader Patrick Brown. “The premier has become the best minister of economic development that Pennsylvania and New York has ever seen.”

Canada's PM Trudeau has promised a national carbon tax, but such taxes have not reduced CO2 emissions. Canada has very high environmental standards. Canada has the 3rd cleanest air in the world. Wind energy cannot deliver reliable energy when we need it. Wind turbines kills millions of bats and birds, reduce property values, harm health. Wind energy will raise electricity prices.
