"With much regret, we announce the closing of this store location. For the past 65 years it has been our pleasure to serve the hardware needs of the town of Foxborough and its surrounding communities. If you need assistance regarding you account, recent purchase, or future needs, our new Franklin store located at Horace Mann Plaza will gladly take care of your needs," a sign on the front door read.
The closing leaves another empty building in an area of Foxborough that town officials have been trying to revitalize. Efforts to redevelop the former fire station located on the other side of the common have been unsuccessful.
