The violation represented the second time since Sept. 2013 that the restaurant was caught serving a minor. In both cases, the violations came during a compliance check conducted by the Foxborough Police Department.
Waxy O’Connor’s Irish Pub and Restaurant on Main Street also admitted to serving a minor, their first violation since a similar check in 2012.

The board will vote on the punishment for Waxy’s at their meeting on Dec. 16 to give the restaurant a chance to document the ways it has complied with a settlement agreement from Jan. 2013 for the previous violation.
The evening was a third night of liquor license hearings for the compliance check that took place on Sept. 25, 2013. In each instance, a 19-year-old operative walked into the establishment under the watch of an undercover officer. After entering the establishment, the operative went to the bar and asked for a beer. If the bartender asked for identification or age, he gave his real Massachusetts under-21 state license and said his real age.
In the case of Skipjack’s and Waxy O’Connors, the bartender did not ask for identification from the operative or his age.
On the previous two nights, Chickie Flynn’s, Demitri’s Red Snapper, Lafayette House and Renaissance Hotel at Patriot Place, Saga Hibachi Steakhouse, Showcase Cinema De Lux, and Tavolino’s were given three-day suspensions for their first violation.
