Prince is a graduate of Framingham North High. Prince attended King Elementary, Walsh Middle and Framingham North, along with his twin brother as a METCO student.

Prince was hired in June 2013 and was awarded a 3-year contract, at $135,000 a year. Click to read more about his hiring.

Prince taught at schools in Boston and Maryland. He held administrative posts in schools in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Maryland, Virginia, and New York before coming to Framingham.

His profile is still on the Framingham Public Schools website as of today, Aug. 8.

As assistant superintendent, Prince is responsible for managing system wide initiatives, supporting the district’s growth and development, and working with the system’s principals. He also fulfilled the role of the Title IX/Equity Coordinator for the Framingham School District.

The Federal office of civil rights had cited Framingham Public Schools for a lack of a TitleIX/Equity Coordinator, after Framingham Patch made public news about two sexual assault reports at Framingham High School in 2012. Framingham Public Schools agreed to voluntarily make changes to its policies and to train staff in Title IX laws in signing an agreement with the U.S. of Education’s Office of Civil Rights in August 2013. That agreement ended a federal investigation.

Framingham Patch contacted Prince numerous times, via phone calls and emails in July, in regards to Title IX and charter school issues. None of our calls or emails were returned.

Employees in the King Administration building told Patch they have not seen Prince since before July 4th.

The Assistant Superintendent position has been one in flux since 2011.

Former Assistant Superintendent Christine Tyrie left for Nantucket in 2011. From January to June 2012, John Brackett served as interim assistant superintendent for the Framingham Public Schools. The position then was left unfilled until Prince started on July 1, 2013.
