FRAMINGHAM'S JACK LEWIS ENDORSED BY MASS ALLIANCE

7th Middlesex District

BOSTON: Mass Alliance, a coalition of varied political organizations dedicated to making Massachusetts more progressive, is proud to announce their endorsement of Jack Patrick Lewis, a Democratic candidate for State Representative in the 7th Middlesex District.

“Mass Alliance is proud to endorse such a committed parent and non-profit leader who has spent his life supporting and uplifting kids in our communities," explained Jordan Berg Powers Director of Mass Alliance. He went on, "Rep. Tom Sannicandro is leaving big shoes to fill, the dedication Jack has shown demonstrates he is the person to continue the great work of Rep. Sannicandro."

Mass Alliance is a coalition of political and advocacy groups that fights for a more progressive Massachusetts. Their member organizations advocate on a wide variety of issues, including civic participation, civil rights, economic justice, education, environmental issues, healthcare, reproductive rights, and worker’s rights. Mass Alliance provides clear leadership for the progressive community, cultivates and empowers progressive leaders, and assists them in ultimately winning their elections.

Mass Alliance’s endorsement comes from a multi-step process, taking in to account many facets of each candidate. Candidates go through an extensive process through which the member organizations decide to which candidate they should give their collective support. Mass Alliance’s endorsement of Jack Patrick Lewis comes through the thoughtful consideration of members from all areas of the progressive community and represents the combined endorsement of each of our member organizations.

Jack Patrick Lewis is a committed father, husband, non-profit leader, and ordained minister. With a lifelong dedication to public service and progressive ideals, Jack is committed to serving the residents of Framingham and Ashland on Beacon Hill as their State Representative. In his capacity as a community leader, Jack helped create OUT MetroWest, in 2011. This program, headquartered in Framingham, serves LGBT youth from across MetroWest Boston. In his capacity as Executive Director, Jack has served over 700 area students and their families by offering supportive services, leadership development, and youth empowerment. Jack and his spouse adopted their son though DCF foster care in 2014. Raising their family in Framingham was an intentional choice, and their son’s enrollment at Barbieri Elementary School was part of their core belief in teaching global citizenship and multiculturalism. He is also an active member of the Framingham Democratic Town Committee, the School Health Advisory Council of Framingham Public Schools, and Framingham Community Partners. As a local community leader and parent, he knows that when our towns and Commonwealth succeed, it is easier for our families and schools to do the same.
