On Tuesday St. Andrew's Episcopal Church on Maple Street hosted the Framingham Interfaith Clergy Association's Thanksgiving Interfaith Service. Clergy from Framingham and surrounding towns gathered to give thanks to the various Gods that each faith prays too. Represented were the Islamic Center of Wayland (Shaheen Akhtar), New England Buddhist Vihara adn Meditation Center (Bhane Aluth), Temple Beth Sholom (Rabbi Dr. Laurence Bazer), First Church of Christ, Scientist (George Burton), Bahai Community(Philip Cantor),St. Andrew's Episcopal Church (Rev. Julie Carson), Edward Church, UCC ( Rev. Debbie Clark), Framingham Friends Meeting (Julie Heagney), Wesley United Methodist Church (Rev. Don Hegeman), Greater Framingham Community Church (Rev. Dr. J. Anthony Lloyd), Community of St. Luke (Father Don Pachuta), First Baptist Church (Rev. Jason Rutherford), and Temple Beth Beth Am (Cantor Jodi Scheehtman).
The service started and ended with the blowing of the Shofar which is used in the Jewish faith at Rosh Hashanaha and Yom Kippur in the temple.
